The extraordinary climate on the Costa Blanca assures you of more than 300 days of sunshine a year. The Southern Costa Blanca enjoys one of the healthiest climates in the world. Sunshine most days of the year, mild winters and a low level of humidity make it ideal to holiday in this area. The concentration of salt in the beautiful lagoons south of Alicante helps draw moisture out of the air, this combined with a very low annual rainfall results in a unique microclimate, which is particularly beneficial for those who suffer from arthritis, rheumatism or asthma. In fact the World Health Organisation has stated that this is the healthiest place in the world to live.
The Costa Blanca offers all the services one would expect with town centres, shops, restaurants and of course beaches. The balanced climate has made the Costa Blanca known as the fruit and vegetable garden of Spain . Also interesting are the various street markets with fresh Mediterranean produce as well as leather goods, baskets, ceramics, textiles and souvenirs.
Torrevieja
translated is “old” or “ancient tower” which
is to be found on the north side of the town overlooking the sea, originally
a Moorish defence and recently restored with gardens laid around, it
is now a popular place for wedding couples to be photographed with the
blue Mediterranean as a backdrop. Torrevieja is a truly Spanish town
with all the modern necessities of life just 30 minutes drive from two
airports. This thriving all year round town is the perfect place to live.
This is the area where Spanish people take their holidays, and many buy
a second home.
